MAPP Gas & MAPP Pro

Methylacetylene-Propadiene Propane · Professional Welding & Brazing Fuel
Welding Brazing HVAC/R High Temperature Two Grades

MAPP is a family of stabilized fuel gases used for high-temperature welding, brazing, and soldering across HVAC/R installation and repair. TCoolGas supplies two grades from a single source: the classic MAPP Gas for general brazing work, and the higher-purity MAPP Pro for professional and industrial jobs that demand hotter, cleaner flames. Both are packaged in disposable cylinders sized to fit standard hand torches.

Standard

MAPP Gas

Stabilized Methylacetylene-Propadiene-Propane
Flame Temp (O2)~2,927 C
Flame Temp (Air)~2,050 C
Packaging14 oz / 400g
GradeGeneral
Lead Time7-15 days
HS Code2901.10
  • Best for everyday HVAC copper brazing and light soldering
  • Stable combustion, easier to handle than acetylene
  • Faster heating than propane on the same job
  • Standard disposable cylinder fits common hand torches
Pro Grade

MAPP Pro

High-Purity Propylene-Blend Fuel Gas
Flame Temp (Air)~2,010 C
Flame Temp (O2)~2,980 C
Packaging14.1 oz / 400g
GradeProfessional
Lead Time7-15 days
HS Code2901.10
  • Higher purity, cleaner burn, hotter tip on heavy joints
  • Preferred for large-diameter copper and industrial brazing
  • Compatible with standard MAPP-style torch heads
  • Extended burn time on the same cylinder size

Where MAPP Fuel Gets Used

Both grades share the same core applications; MAPP Pro is chosen when the joint is thicker, the ambient is colder, or the job simply needs to move faster. As a China-based welding gas exporter with 37 years of experience, Dalian Tongtai (TCoolGas) ships MAPP to 50+ countries with full SDS, TDS, and COA per batch.

Which One Do You Need?

Choose MAPP Gas if...

You are doing standard HVAC brazing, plumbing soldering, or light metalwork with hand torches. The classic MAPP formulation delivers a reliable, stable flame that is faster than propane and easier to control than acetylene, at the most competitive per-cylinder cost.

Choose MAPP Pro if...

You need a hotter, cleaner flame for larger-diameter copper, thicker joints, cold-weather work, or professional service where minutes on the clock matter. MAPP Pro burns cleaner with a longer effective burn time per cylinder and is the preferred grade for industrial and pro-refrigeration teams.

Packaging Options

Both grades are available in disposable cylinders. Bulk industrial cylinders are available on request.
